Lakshmi-Ganesh Worship Method On Diwali

  • Lakshmi and Ganesha are worshiped at an auspicious time on Diwali.
  • On the day of Diwali, first start the puja by applying Tilak on the Kalash.
  • After this, meditate on Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha with flowers and rice in hand.
  • After this, offer flowers and Akshat to the idol of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi.
  • Then lift both the idols from the post place them on a plate and bathe them with a mixture of milk, curd, honey, basil, and Ganga water.
  • After this, bathe both the idols with clean water and put them back on the pedestal.
  • Apply tilak on the idol of Lakshmi-Ganesh. Garland flowers to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.
  • After this, keep sweets, fruits, and money in front of Lakshmi-Ganesh.
  • Then the whole family listens to the story of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and then performs the Aarti of Goddess Lakshmi.

Worship of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha has special significance on the day of Diwali. According to beliefs, when Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped at an auspicious time, Goddess Lakshmi’s blessings remain. Therefore this is considered the best time to worship Goddess Lakshmi. It is said in the scriptures that one who knows also has wealth. Therefore Lord Ganesha is worshipped. It is also said that if Goddess Lakshmi becomes happy with someone on Amavasya Tithi, then he gets wealth.
