The meteorological department has issued a high alert for heavy rain for the next 5 days. Water in Ahmedabad to Vadodara

The most affected area is Vadodara, where many residential compounds are flooded. Many parts of Ahmedabad are waterlogged due to heavy rains. In such circumstances, people are facing problems. Due to continuous rain in Kutch, there are problems with the work at Kandla Port. Many areas of the district are in the grip of floods. In Kheda too, flood-like conditions have arisen due to continuous rains. In Jamnagar too, people are facing the double whammy of rain and floods. Many areas are completely underwater.

Cyclone threat over Kutch

Amidst floods and rains, the threat of cyclones has also started looming. The threat of cyclones is looming over Kutch. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone is going to hit Kutch in the next 24 hours. The deep pressure active over the Bay of Bengal is likely to get stronger instead of weakening. In such a situation, strong winds will blow in the entire state including Ahmedabad. An alert has been issued regarding rain in Kutch even today.

Cyclone Alert

According to the alert, a cyclone may hit Kutch in the next few hours. In such a situation, the people here have been alerted. The administration is on alert mode. Preparations have been made given the cyclone.

The Meteorological Department said that the rain will continue in Gujarat for the time being. Fishermen have been advised not to go to sea for the next two to three days. Due to heavy rains, 140 reservoirs, dams, and 24 rivers in the state are flowing above the danger mark. Out of 206 dams, 122 have been put on high alert due to the rapid increase in their water level.

Rain is expected in most parts of Gujarat even today. Alerts have also been issued for some districts due to torrential rains. According to the IMD, an orange alert has been issued for Saurashtra, Kutch, Jamnagar, Porbandar, and Dwarka. A yellow alert has been issued for other districts including Rajkot, Junagadh, and Morbi.

PM Modi spoke to Gujarat CM

PM Modi has again spoken to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel regarding this disaster in Gujarat and also inquired about the assistance received from the Center. Let us tell you that due to the flood in Vishwamitra river in Vadodara city, the areas have become completely submerged. People have come to the roofs of their houses. Three teams of NDRF, SDRF, and Army carried out a major rescue operation in the area.
